Convert a whole folder of images at once

Converting images one by one is tedious when you have dozens of files. This batch converter takes any number of images, re-encodes them all to the format you choose — JPG, PNG or WebP — optionally resizes them to fit a maximum dimension, and packs the results into a single ZIP you download with one click. It is ideal for preparing a gallery, normalizing screenshots, shrinking photos for the web, or handing a client a tidy archive.

Everything happens in your browser. Each image is decoded onto a canvas, redrawn at the target size and re-encoded in the new format, then the files are zipped locally using the fflate library. Because nothing is uploaded, even large batches of private photos stay on your device, and there are no per-file limits or paywalls. The ZIP is built in memory and saved straight to your downloads folder.

Picking a format and size

Choose JPG for photographs when you want small files and do not need transparency; transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick. Choose PNG for graphics, screenshots and anything needing a transparent background. Choose WebP for the smallest modern web files at high quality. Set a max width/height to cap large images to a sensible size for the web — each image scales to fit that box while keeping its aspect ratio — or leave it blank to keep the original dimensions.

Why a single ZIP is handy

A single archive is far easier to move than a pile of loose files. You can email it, drop it into cloud storage, or hand it off knowing every image shares the same format and size rules. The converter keeps each original filename and simply swaps the extension, so the contents stay easy to identify. Run it again any time with different settings to produce a fresh archive for a new platform or use case.

Frequently asked questions

How many images can I convert at once?
As many as your device's memory allows. Everything runs locally, so there is no artificial upload or file-count limit.
What is in the ZIP?
Every image you added, converted to your chosen format and optionally resized, bundled into a single .zip you download with one click.
Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?
Yes. The max width/height is treated as a bounding box, so each image is scaled to fit without distortion. Leave it blank to keep original sizes.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion and zipping happen entirely in your browser using the fflate library.
