Turn plain screenshots into shareable images

A raw screenshot dropped into a tweet, a slide or a product page often looks flat and unfinished: hard edges, no breathing room and an awkward aspect ratio that gets cropped by the feed. Designers fix this by placing the screenshot on a colourful background with generous padding, rounded corners and a soft drop shadow. This screenshot beautifier does that in seconds. Drop or paste an image, pick one of the gradient presets or your own colours, and the preview updates as you move the sliders. You can also use a photo as the background, blurred so it does not compete with the content, or keep the background transparent to place the framed window on your own slide design.

Window frames, aspect ratios and watermarks

Optional window chrome makes a cropped screenshot read as an app or website at a glance. The macOS window frame adds the familiar title bar with red, yellow and green buttons, the browser window frame adds an address bar with text you choose, and the dark window suits terminal or code screenshots. Canvas size presets expand the background to exact proportions — 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 4:5 portrait, 9:16 stories, and presets sized for Twitter / X and LinkedIn posts — while keeping the screenshot centred and never cropping it. Padding, corner radius and shadow scale with the screenshot resolution, so the same settings look consistent on small and large images. A short watermark such as your handle or website can be added at the bottom.

Sharp exports, fully private

The export is rendered from the original screenshot pixels, not from the preview. Choose 1× to keep the native size or 2× for extra-crisp results on retina displays; very large canvases are automatically limited to what browsers can handle. The result is a PNG, so text in your screenshot stays sharp without compression artefacts. All composition happens locally with the Canvas API — screenshots often contain private messages, dashboards or customer data, and they are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. The screenshot, background and frame are composed on a canvas in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
Can I paste a screenshot directly?
Yes. Copy a screenshot to the clipboard and press Ctrl+V (or ⌘V on a Mac) anywhere on the page outside a text field.
What do 1× and 2× mean?
1× keeps the screenshot at its original pixel size. 2× doubles every dimension, which looks crisper on high-density (retina) displays and in social feeds that downscale images.
Which canvas size should I use for social media?
Use 16:9 or the Twitter / X preset for posts on X, the LinkedIn preset for link-style posts, 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram and 9:16 for stories. Auto simply wraps the screenshot with padding.
