A collage is a simple way to show a collection at a glance: product angles, event highlights, before-and-after shots, travel photos, portfolio samples or social media memories. This photo collage maker focuses on the most common layout people need — a clean, uniform grid. Select multiple images, choose how many columns you want and export one PNG that is ready to post, email or place in a document.
The tool is fully client-side. Your browser loads each file, cover-fits it into a square cell, paints the chosen background and spacing, then exports the final canvas. There are no uploads, no templates to sign into and no server-side storage. That makes it useful for private family photos, client product images or internal marketing drafts that should stay on your machine.
How the grid layout works
Every photo is placed in a uniform square cell so the collage looks balanced even when the source images have different shapes. The image is scaled to cover the cell, which prevents letterboxing but may crop a small amount from the edges. Use fewer columns for a larger, more detailed collage or more columns when you want a compact overview. The gap setting controls both the spacing between photos and the outer border, while the background color shows through those spaces.
Tips for better collages
Choose photos with similar lighting or subject matter when you want a polished result. Put the most important images first, because they fill the grid from left to right and top to bottom. If faces or products are near the edges, consider cropping those images before adding them so the cover-fit crop does not remove important details. For web sharing, three or four columns usually creates a readable image without becoming too wide.
Size, limits and file format
Each cell is rendered at 360 × 360 pixels, and the collage size follows from your settings: width is the number of columns × 360 plus the gaps. With 3 columns and a 12 px gap, the result is 1128 pixels wide. You can use 1 to 8 columns and a gap from 0 to 80 pixels, and the number of rows is worked out from how many photos you add. If the last row is not full, the empty cells simply show the background color. The export is a PNG, which keeps the image sharp but can be large for collages with many photos; if you need a lighter file, convert the result to JPG or WebP afterwards.
