Phone cameras often save photos with the wrong orientation, and sometimes you just need a mirror image. This tool lets you rotate a picture left or right in 90° steps and flip it horizontally or vertically, then download the corrected version — all without uploading anything.
Each transform is applied to a canvas in your browser and the live preview updates immediately, so you can stack operations (for example, rotate right twice for 180°) until the image looks exactly right.
Common uses
Straighten sideways phone photos, mirror an image for a design layout, or flip a scanned document that came in backwards. Because the processing is lossless for PNG and done locally, it's fast, private and free to use as many times as you like.
How the controls combine
Rotate left and right turn the image by 90° each time, and the flip buttons mirror it across the vertical or horizontal axis. They can be combined in any order and each flip button toggles, so a second press returns the image to its previous state. A 90° turn swaps the width and height, so a landscape photo becomes portrait. The preview always shows exactly what you will download.
Output format and quality
JPG files are saved again as JPG at 92% quality and all other types are saved as PNG. A quarter turn is applied on a canvas, so the image is re-encoded once; for a JPG this adds a small amount of compression loss. If you need to keep maximum quality, rotate a PNG or work from your original file rather than a copy that was already saved several times. Only the first file you drop is processed.
Free-angle rotation, such as straightening a slightly tilted horizon by 3°, is not part of this tool, which works in 90° steps only.
Fixing sideways phone photos
Some cameras record a rotation flag instead of turning the pixels, and not every program respects it, which is why a picture can look upright on your phone but sideways in another app. Turning the image here and saving it writes the corrected orientation into the pixels themselves, so it should look the same everywhere. Mirroring is also handy for text that should read the right way on a transfer or for matching the direction of a subject in a layout.
